The 1st Sunday after Pentecost
Trinity Sunday
Today we stand at the threshold of mystery.
Genesis opens with the Spirit moving over the waters, the Word calling creation into being, and the Father delighting in all that is made.
Psalm 8 echoes that wonder, placing humanity within the vastness of God’s handiwork yet crowned with dignity and purpose.
Paul’s blessing to the Corinthians gathers the community into the life of God; grace, love, and fellowship – a Trinitarian rhythm spoken long before the Church had language for it.
And in Matthew’s Gospel, the risen Christ sends the disciples out in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, promising presence that never ends.
The mood of the day is one of awe, belonging, and commissioning. Trinity Sunday is not about solving God – it is about resting in God’s fullness and stepping forward in God’s life.
