Gospel: Matthew 14:22-33
Rev. Laurel reminds us that God's got our back, and Jesus is always there to pull us to safety — but we have to be willing to risk trying new things: we have to be willing to Get Out of the Boat — because life doesn't happen in the boat (or in any other place we may hide out in fear). Life happens out in the world, and God's with us all the way.
